The Canadian Mental Health Association Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge is Pleased to Announce the Addition of New Trans Peer Outreach Program

The Canadian Mental Health Association Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge (C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R.) is pleased to announce the addition of a new Trans Peer Outreach program which will launch March 1, 2021.
The addition of the Trans Peer Outreach program comes following the news that as of February 26, 2021, the three year Ontario Trillium Grow-Grant that supported the operation of C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R.’s Gender Journeys Program will end. Beginning March 1, services will be delivered in a newly supported funding model through the Trans Peer Outreach program.
The Trans Peer Outreach Program will provide supports and services for transgender and gender diverse people, to assist them to improve the quality of their lives through the provision of community-based, client centered care that supports positive interdependence. Services are delivered by people with lived experience as a transgender or gender-diverse person, and who also may have experience living with a mental health concern.
The Trans Peer Outreach Program will serve Peterborough and County, Kawartha Lakes, Haliburton, and Northumberland.
