Trans Sensitivity Education
This workshop offers a foundational introduction to transgender awareness and inclusive practices for individuals and organizations seeking to create safer and more affirming environments. Facilitated by a member of the transgender community, the session draws on lived experience and community-informed content to explore key concepts such as gender identity, respectful language, and the impact of stigma on mental health. Participants will learn practical strategies to support transgender individuals and families, reduce discrimination, and improve organizational culture. The session encourages reflection, empathy, and cultural humility while providing tools to recognize unconscious bias and promote equity. Whether you are an employer, service provider, or community member, this workshop offers a supportive space to begin or deepen your learning journey. By centering voices from the transgender community, the session fosters meaningful dialogue and empowers participants to take actionable steps toward inclusion and understanding.
