Safe Beds provide a safe and supportive environment in a beautiful residential home setting for individuals living within Peterborough, Haliburton, Kawartha Lakes, and Northumberland Counties. A short-term stay is available to all genders 16 years of age and older. The Safe Bed stay assists individuals to decrease or alleviate their crisis through services that are sensitive to individual needs.
Safe Beds are a non-medical facility and of no cost to the individual. Clients must be willing to follow rules of the house, and have a purpose for staying in Safe Beds.
Individuals that are assessed at being of imminent risk to others or themselves may be asked to leave Safe Beds.
Individuals may self-refer to this program.
