Wards Lawyers Kids’ Road Hockey Tournament in support of Youth Mental Health

Date: Sunday, May 24, 2020
Time: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Location: Fleming College Frost Campus
200 Albert St S, Lindsay

Following today’s press conference, the Canadian Mental Health Association Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge (C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R.) along with Wards Lawyers is pleased to provide details on the fifth annual Wards Lawyers Kids’ Road Hockey Tournament on Sunday, May 24th, in support of youth mental health.

The tournament will takeover Fleming College in Lindsay this year with 12 road hockey “rinks”. Participants will range in age from 5 to 13, with teams in five divisions: Mite, Tyke, Novice, Atom, and Peewee. Last year, the tournament saw over 550 kids participating.

This year, the Kids’ Road Hockey Tournament will support C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R.’s youth mental health programming in Kawartha Lakes.

Last year’s Kids’ Road Hockey Tournament raised $6,500, which went towards the Early Psychosis Intervention (E.P.I.) program, offering rapid response treatment and education service for youth aged 14 to 35 in the early stages of psychosis, and their families.

Registration will open March 30 and will continue until April 24.
