Join C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R. for a Facebook Live Cheque Presentation as Herod Financial Services Donates $20K to the Journeying Together Program

Date: Thursday, May 13th, 2021
Time: 3:00 p.m.
Location: Facebook Live (@cmhahkpr)

The Canadian Mental Health Association Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge (C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R.) is pleased to invite media to attend a Facebook Live cheque presentation on Thursday, May 13th at 3:00 p.m. as Herod Financial Services donates $20,000 to C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R.’s Journeying Together program.

Herod Financial Services approached C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R. with the hopes of making a generous donation of $20,000 to the Journeying Together program which provides education and support to caregivers and family members of individuals with a mental health concern. The program supports approximately 250 individuals per year, helping them learn how to better support their loved ones and themselves.

C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R. would like to sincerely thank Kevan and Roberta Herod, founders of Herod Financial Services, for their generous donation.

“We know that the pandemic has had a significant impact on mental health in our community and individuals with a pre-existing mental health concern are particularly vulnerable during this time. C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R. recognizes the toll that this has taken on caregivers of loved ones with a mental health concern, demonstrating that programs, like our Journeying Together program, are needed now more then ever,” says Jack Veitch, Manager of Community Engagement and Education with C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R.

“The Herods continue to be leaders in supporting caregiver mental health in our community and have championed our Journeying Together program since 2014. They have been instrumental in the success of the program and have shown a passion for assisting caregivers. Without the support from the Herods, our Journeying Together program would simply not be possible” says Veitch.
The donation from Herod Financial Services comes following C.M.H.A.’s 70th annual Mental Health Week which ran from May 3rd to 9th.
