CMHA HKPR Launches the Sixth Annual Ride Don’t Hide!

For Immediate Release:     April 8, 2022
Release Subject:                   Sixth Annual Ride Don’t Hide
Date:                                        June 18, 2022
Location:                                Nicholls Oval, 725 Armour Rd, Peterborough

As announced at today’s media conference, the Canadian Mental Health Association Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge (CMHA HKPR) is pleased to provide details on the sixth annual Ride Don’t Hide for Mental Health, presented by Tom’s Heating & Cooling, 100.5 Fresh Radio, 101.5 The Wolf and Global Peterborough. CMHA HKPR is pleased to partner with Tom’s Heating & Cooling and Corus’ local radio and television stations to present this year’s event, which will be happening in-person at Nicholls Oval on June 18th.

The funds from the 2022 Ride Don’t Hide event will support CMHA HKPR’s new Mobile Mental Health and Addictions Clinic, which is being launched this year. The clinic will serve the counties Peterborough, Haliburton, Kawartha, and Northumberland providing mental health and addictions care to under-resourced and underserviced communities.

The theme of this year’s event is ‘move more, stress less, cope better.’ Recognizing the toll that the pandemic has had on mental health and that so many individuals don’t feel like themselves these days, Ride Don’t Hide is a welcoming, inclusive community event that brings friends, families and local community members together and encourages them to move more, stress less, cope better!

Riders can register for a 4k, 12k or 26k ride along the Rotary Trail in Peterborough. Please visit ridedonthide.com/cmhahkpr to register as an individual or a team. Registration is $30 per person and children 12 and under register for free. Individuals who can’t make it on the day are encouraged to register as a virtual rider at no cost!

Regional COVID-19 public health guidelines of the time will be followed at the event.
