Important Update Regarding C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R.’s Fifth Annual Ride Don’t Hide
Mar 24, 2020
As the situation regarding COVID-19 continues to evolve, including the Premier’s declaration of a State of Emergency, the Canadian Mental Health Association, Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge (C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R.) has made the difficult decision to postpone the fifth annual Ride Don’t Hide event set to take place on June 27, 2020.
As an organization, we continue to hold the health and safety of our staff, clients and the community in the highest regard. The situation regarding Covid-19 is evolving daily and due to this we could not guarantee that we would be able to proceed with the event on June 27th safely. We have chosen to not move forward with a virtual ride but instead, to postpone the event until 2021 to allow for maximum participation and to keep the event as a family-friendly community event.
I’d like to thank everyone who has registered and/or donated to our 2020 Ride Don’t Hide event. Your dedication to supporting caregivers of individuals with a mental health concern is greatly appreciated. With that being said, since we are no longer moving forward with this year’s event we will be refunding your donations/registration fees as soon as possible.
We would like to sincerely thank you for your support. Supporting caregivers and individuals with mental health concerns and promoting positive mental health is as important as ever, and maybe even more important in these challenging times.
We want to encourage you to continue to bring mental health into the open, to raise awareness during this critical time.
Thank you again for your tremendous support in creating brighter futures for individuals struggling with a mental health concern. We hope to see you all in 2021!
Sincerely,
Mark Graham
