CMHA HKPR’s Ontario Telemedicine Network Clinic Expands to Include Access to a Consultant Paediatrician
Feb 1, 2022
The Canadian Mental Health Association Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge (C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R.) is pleased to announce that beginning this August, our Ontario Telemedicine Network (O.T.N.) Clinic in Peterborough now includes access to Consultant Paediatrician, Dr. Charlene Stirling.
Dr. Stirling, who has a practice in St. Catherines, has come onboard to provide O.T.N. paediatric consultation for toddlers and school-age children with:
- ADHD concerns
- Behavioral problems
- Learning problems
Dr. Stirling is educated by the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia and completed her Paediatric Residency at the University of Buffalo. In addition to a consulting practice, Dr. Stirling also provides Autism Diagnostic Assessment for toddlers at the Niagara Autism Centre in Welland.
C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R.’s O.T.N. Clinic provides individuals with access to physician specialists through a secured two-way video conferencing system, which is supported by O.T.N. nurses and support staff. The O.T.N. clinic provides individuals who may be unable to attend a medical appointment based on location, need for travel or availability of the specialist, access to the care they need.
Referral for the O.T.N. Clinic is by a physician or nurse practitioner and the clinic includes access to a range of medical specialties that meet the growing needs of our community.
“Having this service as an additional resource will be incredibly beneficial to the community and we encourage access to it.” says Tracy Graham, Manager of Specialized Crisis Services and Clinics with C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R.
