C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R. Partners with Corus Entertainment to Spread Messages of Hope and Direct those Struggling Towards Care

The Canadian Mental Health Association Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge (C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R.) is pleased to announce that they have partnered with Corus Entertainment’s Global Peterborough, 101.5 The Wolf, and 100.5 Fresh Radio to share messages of hope and information about community mental health supports beginning February 11.

Local media personalities from Global Peterborough, 101.5 The Wolf, and 100.5 Fresh Radio will be sharing their stories around mental health with the hope that audiences will know that they are not alone in how they are feeling and that it is okay to get help.

Recognizing that COVID-19 has impacted our community greatly, the advertisements are meant to spread messages of hope and recovery.

“When Corus came to us with this idea we were blown away,” says Jack Veitch, Manager of Community Engagement and Education with C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R.

“Covid-19 has been very hard on everyone. What we are going through is not normal and has had a significant impact on our mental health. We just want to let our listeners and viewers know that we understand how they are feeling and that they are not alone. We want them to know that there are things they can do to help themselves, and the Canadian Mental Health Association is a great place to turn to if you need a helping hand. We will get through this … together,” says Pete Dalliday, Morning Show Host for 100.5 Fresh Radio.

“We are extremely grateful for the support of Corus Entertainment. Corus Entertainment continues to be a leader in supporting mental health in our community, supporting our branch through a number of different ways, including sponsoring our Ride Don’t Hide event for the past five years,” says Veitch.
