Health Promotion & Education

Mental health promotion and education are key to building healthier communities and combating stigma. Our services cater to youth, adults, families, community groups, and corporations, emphasizing the importance of understanding and supporting mental well-being across all ages and backgrounds. Courses focus on everything from early intervention for youth, enhancing communication and resilience for adults and families, empowering community groups to foster support, and teaching corporations to create mentally healthy workplaces. Through inter-organizational collaboration and varied training formats, we aim to equip everyone with the knowledge and skills to better navigate mental health challenges, creating a more informed and supportive society.

Our education programs fit into three categories:

Public Education

These programs are available to all members of our community aged 14 and up, and can be delivered for little to no cost. These sessions do not result participants receiving a certificate, but provide a valuable learning opportunity.

Certificate Programs

Our certificate programs offer more in-depth training on a broad range of mental health issues. Content for these courses is provided by outside partners, including Living Works, CMHA National and the Mental Health Commission of Canada. Each course has specific age and attendance requirements.

Corporate and Workplace Services

Our corporate and workplace services are custom designed sessions for professionals in their workplace. These courses provide skills for leadership to support staff, as well as skill building in staff supporting clients/patients/consumers. Fees apply for these programs.
