The Canadian Mental Health Association, Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge has been made aware of fraudulent cheques being circulated that appear to use our organization’s name and banking information. These cheques may be part of a scam intended to obtain money or banking information from recipients.

We want to remind the public that CMHA HKPR will never send you a cheque with instructions on how to use the funds.

If you receive a cheque claiming to be from CMHA HKPR and are unsure whether it is legitimate, do not cash or deposit it. We encourage you to contact our office to verify its authenticity, contact your financial institution, and report the matter to police immediately.
