Quality Construction and Renovations Golf Tournament in Support of Mental Health Programming

Date: Saturday, September 19, 2020
Location: Dalewood Golf and Country Club – 7465 Dale Rd., Cobourg
Time: 11 a.m. registration, 1:00 p.m. shotgun start

The Canadian Mental Health Association Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge (C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R.) is pleased to announce that Quality Construction and Renovations will be hosting the QCR Golf Tournament in support of mental health programming. This year’s tournament will take place at Dalewood Golf and Country Club in Cobourg on September 19 at 1:00 p.m.

In years past, the QCR Golf Tournament has supported youth mental health and education, but this year, given the impact of COVID-19 on our community, the funds will be distributed across all branch programming to support mental health care for clients.

“COVID-19 has affected our community greatly and individuals with a pre-existing mental health concern are particularly vulnerable during this time. C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R. is extremely grateful for the support of Roger Hardy and his wife Mary Ellen, owners of presenting sponsor, Quality Construction and Renovations. Funds raised from the tournament will go directly towards supporting mental health programing,” says Jack Veitch, Manager of Community Engagement and Education with C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R.

“We have a desire to make a difference by investing in mental health and we believe that supporting C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R. is a great way to make this investment,” says Hardy.
Golfers can register as foursomes or as singles at a cost of $150 per person. This includes use of the driving range, lunch, prizes, exciting hole contests and a team photo. Golfers will also have a chance to win the $10,000 hole in one prize, made possible by James W. Gordon Insurance.

“This event would not be possible without the support of our sponsors, a special thank you to our top sponsors Assante Wealth Management, Sine’s Flooring, Comfort Zone, Marshman Brothers, Vout Welding, Colour Concepts, Autochek, Tim Haynes Professional Corporation, Cameco, Tim J.F. Nicholls Chartered Accountant, as well as prize sponsor, Gilmer’s Home Hardware,” says Hardy.

Businesses can also support C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R. by registering as a hole sponsor for $150.

Golfers can register by filling out a registration form, which can be found at cmhahkpr.ca/events/qcr-golf-tournament-for-mental-health-programming/, and emailing it to cmcintosh@cmhahkpr.ca. Payment will be accepted in advance or on event day via cash, credit, or debit. For further information regarding registration or sponsorship, contact Roger Hardy at 289-251-1408.

The event will follow the recommendations of the H.K.P.R. District Health Unit regarding COVID-19 measures and care will be taken to ensure the safety of all golfers.
