QCR Golf Tournament Raises $18.5K for Mental Health Supports through C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R.

The Canadian Mental Health Association, Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge (C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R.) hosted its biannual Quality Construction and Renovations Golf Tournament on September 19, raising an impressive $18,500 for community mental health supports.

The tournament took place at Dalewood Golf and Country Club in Cobourg, with 25 golf foursomes participating (following public health directives to ensure the safety of all golfers). In years past, the QCR Golf Tournament has supported youth mental health and education, but this year, given the impact of COVID-19 on our community, the funds have been distributed across C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R. branch programming.

“COVID-19 continues to affect our community greatly and individuals living with mental health concerns are particularly vulnerable. C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R. is extremely grateful for the support of Roger Hardy and his wife Mary Ellen, owners of presenting sponsor, Quality Construction and Renovations. The funds raised from the tournament will go directly towards supporting mental health programing,” says Jack Veitch, Manager of Community Engagement and Education with C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R.

C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R. would like to thank all who participated or donated to the tournament, especially presenting sponsor Quality Construction and Renovations, as well as top sponsors Assante Wealth Management, Sine’s Flooring, Comfort Zone, Marshman Brothers, Vout Welding, Colour Concepts, Autochek, Tim J. Haynes Professional Corporation, Cameco, Ricart, and Tim Nicholls Chartered Accountant.
