Provincial Funding Boost for Supportive Housing, Psychotherapy and Youth Services

Canadian Mental Health Association Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge is pleased to announce Provincial Funding boost for Supportive housing, Psychotherapy and Youth Services

The Canadian Mental Health Association, Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge commends the provincial government for its $140-million investment in mental health announced February 8, 2017, while also recognizing the need for increased funding and enhanced services. The Ontario government has committed to investing $140 million over three years – and an additional $50 million over each of the following three years – in supportive housing, psychotherapy and services for youth. Minister of Health and Long-Term Care Eric Hoskins called this a “big step forward” in an attempt to achieve parity between the importance of mental and physical health care.
