For Immediate Release:    April 1, 2021
Release Subject:               Fifth Annual (Virtual) Ride Don’t Hide
Date:                                  June, 2021
Location:                           Virtual EventFollowing today’s media conference, the Canadian Mental Health Association Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge (C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R.) is pleased to provide details on the fifth annual Ride Don’t Hide for Mental Health, presented by Tom’s Heating & Cooling. C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R. is pleased to partner with Tom’s Heating & Cooling to present this year’s event, which will be happening virtually throughout the month of June!

The 2021 virtual Ride Don’t Hide event hosted by C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R. will be used to fund mental health crisis programming. By directing Ride Don’t Hide funding towards crisis programming, we are supporting some of our community’s most vulnerable individuals and helping them on their path to recovery.

The theme of this year’s Ride Don’t Hide event is ‘move more, give back, feel better.’ Recognizing the toll that the pandemic has had on mental health and that so many individuals don’t feel like themselves these days, Ride Don’t Hide is a welcoming, inclusive community event that brings friends, families and local community members together and encourages them to move more, give back, and feel better!

Being a virtual event, this year’s Ride Don’t Hide is ‘your ride, your way,’ and C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R. is encouraging individuals to get outside and ride or do whatever activity supports their mental health, be it walking, running, yoga, swimming, etc.! Individuals can register for free and create their own Ride Don’t Hide team at ridedonthide.com/cmhahkpr. Through the registration process, participants can set their own fundraising goals as well as set their activity type and track their progress!

Participants can also look forward to a NEW Ride Don’t Hide mobile app which is coming soon and will help participants track their progress as well as their team’s progress from anywhere and at any time!

C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R. would like to sincerely thank our presenting sponsor Toms Heating & Cooling as well as Diamond Sponsors Corus Entertainment’s the Wolf 101.5, Global News Peterborough, and 100.5 Fresh Radio as well as Silver Sponsor AON Inc.
