CMHA HKPR’s 3rd Annual “Change the Cycle” Fundraiser Raises Over $30,000 for Youth Mental Health

Peterborough, ON – The Canadian Mental Health Association, Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge (CMHA HKPR) is thrilled to announce the overwhelming success of its 3rd Annual Change the Cycle fundraiser, held this past Saturday, June 21st, 2025, at Nicholls Oval.

The event saw an incredible outpouring of community support. A fantastic group of 86 riders hit the Rotary Greenway Trail, and their collective efforts, combined with the profound generosity of donors, culminated in a record-breaking fundraising total of $30,537.08, surpassing our initial goal of $25,000!

These funds will directly support Planet Youth through the Haliburton, Kawartha, Northumberland Peterborough (HKNP) Health Unit. This initiative is dedicated to enhancing youth and family mental wellness across these regions.

This is a huge win for youth and family mental health in our region, and it would not have been possible without the invaluable contributions of our community. We extend our sincere gratitude to our esteemed Agents of Change, Linda Kash and Michelle Mackey, for lending their voices and hearts to this cause. Their support is deeply appreciated!

As always, we are extremely grateful to our generous sponsors:

Their continued support makes events like these possible.

Since its launch in 2023, Change the Cycle has now raised over $100,000 for local mental health initiatives, a significant milestone that marks a pivotal achievement as we continue our efforts.

CMHA HKPR extends a heartfelt thanks for the widespread support that has fueled this journey as we continue to champion healthier, more connected communities for all.

Let’s Continue to Change the Cycle together. We hope to see you next year!
