C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R. Employment Supports is the evolution of our vocational program and is based on the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model. IPS is a collaborative approach focused on person-centered goals, strengths and abilities, rapid job placement, and excellent employer relationships. IPS is an evidence based best practice approach to support people who are living with a mental health concern and are seeking competitive employment.
The Employment Support program is designed to provide specialized vocational assistance to those that are seeking an opportunity to enter or reintegrate into the workplace. The goal is to help people obtain competitive employment through the development of an achievable action plan, coupled with the practice of coping skills and mental wellness. The Employment Support team works alongside you throughout the entire employment process to ensure personal success.
