The Canadian Mental Health Association Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge (C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R.) along with Wards Lawyers is pleased to provide details on the fourth Wards Lawyers Kids’ Road Hockey Tournament on Sunday, May 26th, in support of youth mental health.

The tournament will takeover Kent Street in Lindsay, spanning from Cambridge Street to York Street, with 12 road hockey “rinks” total. Participants will range in age from five to 13, with 54 teams from five divisions: Mite, Tyke, Novice, Atom, and Peewee.

This year, the Kids’ Road Hockey Tournament will support C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R.’s Early Psychosis Intervention (E.P.I.) program in Kawartha Lakes. The E.P.I. program is offered in partnership with four other local agencies and is a four county rapid response treatment and education service for youth aged 14 to 35 in the early stages of psychosis, and their families.

Last year’s Kids’ Road Hockey Tournament raised $6,500, which went towards Mental Health First Aid training within Kawartha Lakes based secondary schools.
